He was laughing, he usually laughed when he had killed someone. It was an often humourless laugh, desperate and bizarrely angry, but a laughter anyway. You, on the other hand, never laughed. Sometimes watching him break out in mad joy, you admitted to being a little bit jealous. Whenever you would open your mouth to speak, only the words of the Horrorterrors would escape. At most, you would muster up a small smile but you never laughed and never talked.
It was fine though. It was fine because he never misunderstood what you wanted, even when you didn’t speak. Sometimes he could have a conversation that you never participated in fully, but still he answered to everything you might have said if you could. Sometimes you wondered if he actually spoke to you, or only spoke to the insanity you both shared. It didn’t matter much to you anyway, you liked hearing his voice, screaming and whispering sounds exchanging each other in a pattern you could only wish to understand.
